Collection from Penélope and Mónica Cruz available now

Pfäffikon SZ, 21 March 2011 – The Charles Vögele Group, one of the leading vertical fashion retailers in Europe, is introducing the Biaggini Violett collection designed by Penélope und Mónica Cruz in their stores today. CEO André Maeder says, “We are pleased that the collection designed personally by the world-famous actresses is available in selected stores.” Mónica Cruz will follow the launch of her collection in person in the flagship store in Zurich today. The designer pieces are available in 400 stores across the Group.

Charles Vögele Group: Return to profit – 3-pillar strategy takes effect

Charles Vögele Group recorded a net profit of CHF 18 million for the 2010 financial year. This positive result is mainly due to the initial success of strategic measures initiated in 2009 to modernize every aspect of the company. Given the Group's healthy net cash position of CHF 26 million and its solid equity ratio of 62%, the Board of Directors is proposing to the Annual Shareholders' Meeting that a par value repayment of CHF 0.50 per share be distributed to shareholders.

Online Shop opens its virtual doors on 1 February 2011

Pfaeffikon SZ, 28 January 2011 – It’s all systems go for the Charles Vögele Online Shop: on 1 February 2011 the Online Shop will be opening its virtual doors in the principal markets of Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The first items that can be purchased online will be the Casa Blanca brand and the lingerie and underwear collection. The entire Charles Vögele range will be available in autumn 2011 when the central logistics system is introduced.

Karin Schmidt becomes Vice President Group Human Resources

Pfaeffikon SZ, 28 Januar 2011 – Group Management has appointed Karin Schmidt (37) to the position of Vice President Group Human Resources. She succeeds Karin Bertschinger and will report directly to CEO André Maeder. She starts the job on Monday 14 March 2011.

Til Schweiger to become the face of Charles Vögele

Pfäffikon SZ, 06 December 2010 – The Charles Vögele Group, one of the leading vertical fash-ion companies in Europe, has enlisted the internationally renowned actor Til Schweiger as the advertising figurehead for Charles Vögele. From Spring 2011 he will be the male face of the Group-wide image campaign.

Dr. Karin Bertschinger and Daniel Bärlocher leave the company

Pfaeffikon SZ, 25 October 2010 – Dr. Karin Bertschinger, Vice President Group Human Resources, and Daniel Bärlocher, Vice President Group Communications, are leaving the company at their own request at the end of October 2010. The search has begun for successors to fill both positions.
